NIDO LEADERSHIP VISITS NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSIONER TO SIERRA LEONE, COMMENDED HIS LEADERSHIP STYLE
The leadership of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Sierra Leone Chapter led by its President Engr. Abiodun Oyebola today were at the Nigeria High Commission, Freetown, Sierra Leone in continuation of their engagements with authorities towards bettering the lives of Nigerian citizens residents in the country, where they were warmly received by Nigeria’s High Commissioner His Excellency, Amb. Henry John Omaku fcim, (Giwan Doma) in the company of principal officials of the embassy.
Speaking during their engagements, Engr. Abiodun gave account of NIDO's activities to the ambassador and shared the views of the Nigerian Diaspora on key issues of national development. He expressed his gratitude to the Nigeria High Commissioner for all the efforts in ensuring that Nigerians in Sierra Leone lives happily.
Appreciating the leadership of Nido Sierra Leone for the visit, Amb. Henry John Omaku said the successes recorded so far by the mission since he assumed duty last year was the result of cooperation he has been enjoying from them. He called on them to continue to sensitize their members on the need to be good ambassadors of Nigeria.
Amb. Omaku used the opportunity of their visit to inform them that arrangements has already been concluded for a passport office in Sierra Leone where Nigerians can get their international passports with ease without travelling to neighbouring Liberia. He said already, passports of those captured during the last tour are ready and called on those captured to visit the High Commission for pick up.
High point of the meeting was the symbolic presentation of International Passport to NIDO President by the Nigeria High Commissioner.
