E.U AMBASSADOR TO SIERRA LEONE VISITS AMB. OMAKU; SEEKS COLLABORATION

The European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Sierra Leone Amb. Muller Manuel Alexander on Wednesday, 22nd September, 2021 paid a courtesy visit on the Nigeria High Commissioner to Sierra Leone His Excellency, Amb. Henry John Omaku fcim (Giwan Doma) in his office in Freetown.

Speaking during the visit, the E.U Ambassador said, the European Union is one of Africa’s important partners and the cooperation between the European Union and the Government of African countries has a long history stretching back over 35 years and has been guided by the principles and objectives of the successive ACP-EU Conventions and Partnership Agreement.

The aim of the visit according to Amb. Muller was to further broaden and deepen the existing bilateral relations between the EU in Sierra Leone and the Nigeria High Commission.

During the visit, the Nigeria High Commissioner His Excellency, Amb. Henry John Omaku and the E.U Ambassador exchanged views on mutual cooperation, regional and global issues on peace and security.

Amb. Omaku assured his E.U counterpart of his readiness to work closely with him for the benefits of Nigeria and the African continent.
